Blessed are the meek for they focus on the holiness of God. They acknowledge themselves as sinners as God is holy. The God’s chosen people clothe themselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience (Colossians 3:12 New International Version).
Be angry but do not sin (Ephesians 4:26 New International Version). For the ingredients of meekness are gentleness and self-control. We can be angry at evil such as injustice, immorality and sin. Since it is easy to release our wrath, we should express it at the right reason and right time. We should control ourselves because we are not given over to vengeance. Even though our possessions will be confiscated, we know that we do not deserve anything from God but only by grace. As Christ handled Himself to God, we should have meekness and gentleness of Christ. The result of meekness are blessings and inheritance from the kingdom of God.
