Countenance

The plain and subtle message of love and faith in God.

There is no substitution for being in the presence of God, in his countenance.

Jn 1:1 in the beginning was the word…John was no ordinary man; he was called of God before he was even born. From the time he was in his mother's womb he was filled with the spirit…he was no ordinary man…. he was extraordinary.

His writings were extraordinary…Jn3: 16…. His clothes…his diet and his ministry were extraordinary…and his most extraordinary words were “ behold the lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world!”

This is the sacrifice that Genesis referred to when God covered Adam & Eve's nakedness of sin in the Garden.

John's ministry was growing and booming and one day while he was baptizing one of his disciples came to him and said…….you know, that thing you started----the baptizing----everyone is starting to go over there……

Instead of cursing the backsliders and church jumpers…..instead of saying repent and go back to your root, he did not let his surroundings or his ego get in the way of Jesus….there was change in the air a time of transition and ego will break a man down if he is not firmly rooted in his foundation and realized that “it's not about me!”…..Jn3:30 says “he must increase, but I must decrease!”….it's not about me…

When attendance drops……and only one singer is left is the choir…..it is not about me….it's not about my ego…..i have to learn to transition through the changes in my life….when God is transitioning me from one season to the next…..if I can't accept change then I can't be led by the spirit……change is definite and you will stay where u are if u are if u keep doing what you been doing…..

This is where you find yourself confused and flustered….ready to walk away….throw in the towel….and all you have to do is go back to the beginning…..the bible says in Php1:6..that which he hat begun…..God started it, so he is the one who will finish it….God gave me this ministry and he is the one who directs it…..he is the alpha and omega the beginning and the end….the first and the last….

John's greatness started with his mother and father….Elizabeth and Zechariah….both were said to be barren and childless…..
