Is it possible for a Christian to believe in ghosts? For that matter, is it possible for anyone to believe in ghost? Or should I say, are ghosts possible.
As a Christian woman I can tell you that this concept is not biblical. But also as a Christian woman I can tell you that not only do I believe in ghost, I have experienced them. But like a lot of people I don't discuss it Gee, I wonder if anyone will know after this is published. Does it mean that we are being dishonest with ourselves or unfaithful to God for believing in ghost. That is a question you have to ask and answer for yourself. Although personally I do not believe that I am being unfaithful, or that I am be dishonest. I do however believe that there has to be some kind of answer as to why to we or hear or experience them.
We have so many different types of television shows now on ghosts that it is almost impossible not to have this kind of discussion. You don't have to believe to enjoy the shows that are available to us now. But the question is, do YOU believe.
There is an author who wants to help Christians get educated about the supernatural. And his name is Ron Rhodes, and his book is, The Truth Behind Ghosts, Mediums, and Psychic Phenomena. In his book he explains the popularity of using mediums to contact the dead. He states that the of contacting the dead is for Satan and his demons away from God. Perhaps he is correct with that aspect of mediums. But does that explain why perhaps individual people such as you or me has experienced a ghost themselves. If so, why would a family member appear to us for one reason or another. Does it mean that they where simply trying to help us get past there death? Or is there another reason?
Not only do some people experience ghost while awake, but have had dreams where a family member or friend is trying to tell them something or help them in some way. Are they showing you in your dreams things that are to come. Or maybe things that have already happened and are trying to help you past them. Is this the same type of thing?
I wish I had the answer to these questions and many more for that matter. But I don't. A lot of people may think they do, but I believe that this is a question that only you can answer for yourself. If you believe in ghost, do you also believe in Angels?
