DO YOU BELIEVE THE BIBLE TO BE FROM GOD?
First please take note that the Creator has a Name. The Bible tells us the name of the Creator, it is not “God or Satan.” The Creators name is “Jehovah”. Psalms 83:18 “ That people may know that you, whose name is Jehovah, You alone are the Most High over all the earth.
Exodus 3:15 “Then God said once more to Moses:
“This is what you are to say to the sons of Israel, "Jehovah the God of YOUR forefathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob, has sent me to YOU." This is my name to time indefinite, and this is the memorial of me to generation after generation.”
Some may feel that Satan is the symbolic personification of that part of God that is the power of the world (space-time) to obfuscate and otherwise block our awareness that, rather than something distinctly separate from God. To this comment I must say, God does not need to confuse us or to hid or make anything unclear to us. If He was trying to do this, why then would he take over 1,600 years to have a book called the Bible, the “word of God” written for our guidance and to show us how to benefit ourselves. As to Satan being a symbolic personification of a part of God, the Bible, the Word of God proves the above quoted statement wrong and inaccurate. Take not please once again our Bible study gave us a logical explanation for a problem that has occupied the minds of the world's greatest philosophers: If God is good and all-powerful, how can evil exist?
To answer this question briefly, because one of God's most beautiful angels became jealous of God and wanted to be like God and wanted the worship that belonged to God for himself and so Satan challenged God. Take note of how the Bible tells us of this challenge.
(Job 1:7-12) Then Jehovah said to Satan: “Where do you come from?” At that Satan answered Jehovah and said: “From roving about in the earth and from walking about in it.” And Jehovah went on to say to Satan: “Have you set your heart upon my servant Job, that there is no one like him in the earth, a man blameless and upright, fearing God and turning aside from bad?” At that Satan answered Jehovah and said: “Is it for nothing that Job has feared God? Have not you yourself put up a hedge about him and about his house and about everything that he has all around? The work of his hands you have blessed, and his livestock itself has spread abroad in the earth. But, for a change, thrust out your hand, please, and touch everything he has [and see] whether he will not curse you to your very face.” Accordingly Jehovah said to Satan: “Look! Everything that he has is in your hand. Only against him himself do not thrust out your hand!” So Satan went out away from the person of Jehovah.”
So Satan challenged God's right to rule and his universal sovereignty. That challenge is what we as obedient mankind are in the process of answering Satan's challenge for all time.
Also notice these scriptures: “(John 12:31) Now there is a judging of this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out.” Ask yourselves this, If God is all powerful and if Satan is just an evil part of God, Who or what is being cast out?
(John 14:30) I shall not speak much with YOU anymore, for the ruler of the world is coming. And he has no hold on me.” This is Jesus speaking here and he said “the ruler of this world is coming, and he has no hold on me.” Does this sound like a son who would say this about his father? Of course not. This shows that God and Satan are two separate persons, and not any part of each other.
(Revelation 12:9) “So down the great dragon was hurled, the original serpent, the one called Devil and Satan, who is misleading the entire inhabited earth; he was hurled down to the earth, and his angels were hurled down with him.” In this scripture it shows that Jesus is in heaven and he throws the Devil down to earth. Could anyone throw God Almighty anywhere at all?
We live in a world where people have many different type of gods. {Money can be a god. Movie stars or sports stars can be a god. Yes, anything we worship can be our god, yet there is only one Creator who is God Almighty and whose name is Jehovah, not “Satan”. Jehovah God created everything even the angle that became Satan, but God did not create him evil. Satan as an angel had free will just as you and I do, Satan own inward desires made himself evil.
