God, The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit

The Doctrine about the Holy spirit is not contradictory to the Bible. Au Contraire, all throughout the Bible, the Trinity is supported, and revealed.

Is believing in the Holy Trinity a false doctrine taught by the Church? While some “Christians” will have you believe that the Church created the Godhead so they could win over pagans in the Church. The same thing with the Cross.

But the Bible does support the Doctrine of the Trinity. However, many people misunderstand the Bible's contexts. For instance, Mormons believe that the Trinity is and office held by three gods. That is not true at all, and it's only an abomination to think that the are more than one god, when in fact the Bible says there is only One True God, and that is Yahweh.

The Jehovah's Witnesses assert that the Trinity is no way scriptural. The Father is Jehovah, God, and Jesus is His son. The Holy Spirit is just a force. God is a trinity of persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. However, the Son is not the Father, and the Father is not the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is not the Son. They are co-equal, co-eternal, and co-powerful.

Philippians 2:5-6 Make your own attitude that of Christ, who, existing in the form of God, did not consider EQUALITY with God as something to be used for His own advantage.

These persons of the Trinity, or Godhead, where, and always have been before time. They have no beginning and will have no end. Jesus was never creation, as he took part in the creation of all things.

Gen. 1:26 Then God said, “Let US make human beings in OUR image, to be like OURSELVES…”

John 1:1-3, 14 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through Him, and apart form Him, nothing came into being that has come into being… And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and Truth.“

And the Holy Spirit is not and was never just a force. In fact, the Holy Spirit teaches, lives, grieved, testifies, and convicts.

Luke 12:12 For the Holy Spirit will TEACH you in that very hour what you ought to say.

John 15:26 When the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, that is the Spirit of truth who proceeds from he Father, He will TESTIFY about Me.

But to go a little further in depth for those who still are skeptics, let us look at the OT, and see what it says about the Holy Trinity. Consider this verse, “Here O Israel, the LORD our God, the LORD is one!”

If you have basic knowledge of Hebrew, then you would know that God is El. But El has other declensions. For instance, the simple plural of El is Eloh, while a more complex plural form of El is Elohim. This means God, more than two. In Hebrew, to my best ability, this verse is translated, “Hear O Yshrael, YHWH Elohim, YHWH is echad.” YHWH means Jehovah, or in our English Bibles, LORD (w/ caps). Elohim is God(s), because it means three. But in the end, it says “echad” which means one.

ECHAD means one, but not so fast. In Hebrew, YACHID means one. But yachid is a simple ONE, and means unique singularity. Echad means one in the sense as in when two people are married, and they become ONE. But that does not mean the baby that they produce, which is a part of each person. But it means one, as in unity between two or more. For instance, the United States are ONE or ECHAD. Alternatively, one family or one group, etc. The author was careful to use the right word.

“…baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.” Jesus said those words, and there is no denying that fact. Doesn't that justify the Holy Trinity? Think about, in what other names can you baptize? In what other names can you preach the gospel? In what other names can finish a prayer?

“For unto us a child is born

to us a son is given,

and the government will be on His shoulders.

and He will be called

Wonderful Counselor,

Mighty God,

Everlasting Father,

Prince of Peace.”
