My ears had heard of you but now my eyes have seen you” Job 42:1&5.
WE BECOME MORE CHRIST-LIKE.
Job's revelations of God during his time of crisis made him to excel in his relationship with God. God dealt with Him___he received a sounder mind of spiritual things. He had seen God, so graduated to another level with Him. We too, whenever, we come out of crisis we become more Christ-like, because our relationship with the Lord has graduated to another level of understanding of the things of the Spirit and love for Him.
WE EXPERIENCE GOD'S GLORY AND POWER.
God's power is commonly seen in times of crisis. When God is up to something in us, He manifests His glory in and through us that the world might see how powerful He is, and possible come to know Him. That's another way to witness about Christ. Remember that our attitudes in times of crisis will determine whether God would rescue us or not. More importantly, let's use every single period of our lives to be living epistles to the world.
FEAR NOT
Times of crisis could lead to fear. And God knows about it. That's why we could always hear Him say: “Be not afraid”. So fear is real. The reason why we should not fear is not that seemingly fearful happenings are not in the corner, but that God is with us, within us, at our sides, and overall, everywhere___wherever we could be found. In Psalms23: 4, we have that truth awesomely stated. We read:
“Eventhough I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me, your rod and your staff, they comfort me”.
David's fearlessness was not because of the absence of crisis, but God being there__right where he was. Fear does not go like that. You must know some divine truths in order to positively deal with it.
You should cultivate the consciousness of His Presence by the Word.
You should understand that you are never alone.
You should understand that God is in Control and is Mighty to help.
GIVING THANKS TO GOD
Giving thanks to God should not depend on our moods or circumstances around us. It should result as our loyalty to Him. In Psalms 138:1, we have the understanding of thanksgiving. It's a choice and decision. The Psalmist decided to give thanks to God even in the midst of his crisis. This is a greater dimension of the understanding of the spiritual things. This attitude of acknowledgment is a divine mystery, thus, could confound the natural man. Of course, divine truth cannot be articulated neither be fathomed by the ordinary man. It takes God's Spirit to tap from His knowledge. Beloved, no matter the gravity of your crisis, decide to give Him thanks. God loves you and is working out His perfect plans for your life. You are precious in His sight.
