Having God in Our Life, Makes Living Easier

The faith and love of knowing that God loves us and if we put Him in our life, whatever trials we face, it is easier when we lean on God.

I don't know about you, but if I didn't have God in my life, it would be so hard for me I would not want to live. Allow me to explain:

You see my life is easy now because I have my God with me and he helps me. If I did not have the hope and love that my Creator gives me each and everyday, my life would be so hard that I would not want to live. Here are just a few of the problems I deal with each and everyday.

I have cerebral palsy, which makes my whole body shake and twitch; I have constant pain in my body. Have you ever had a Charlie horse in the calf of your leg? Imagine that all over your body from spastic, contracting muscles everywhere in your body.

I have spinal cord damage in the 5-7 vertebrae that gives me nerve damage in parts of my body and numbness. My write hand is deformed due to it and does not allow me to write or use it the way I used to.

My speech is very bad due to that nerve damage. The spinal cord problems come from Encephalitis due to a mosquito bite. This gave me what is called Transverse mellitus which affected the nerves that make a person able to function normally when it comes to everyday functions. These different functions that everybody does without even thinking about them, I must constantly fight to keep them just working enough to survive each day.

My daughter's husband was also in a car accident and was left with brain damage. They are married just four years. I help look after him while she works. Do I tell you this for your pity? No, definitely not. I tell you this because with God, no matter what difficulties you may have to face in your life; it is made easier by putting God in your life as your tower of strength. When things are beyond your personal strength that is when God takes over.

Am I happy and do I find this easy. No, I do not find my life always easy, but it is made easier by having the faith and the love for my God. We all have problems, some worse then others, but imagine having to go through life and its ups and downs without God. I really believe from my experience in suffering the many things I do suffer, has proved to me that God did not design life to be hard but easy. Without God to help me each day in dealing with my difficulties, life would be so much harder. That to me proves beyond a shadow of doubt that God did not design life with such problems and he did not design our life to be hard. Adam and Eve's disobedience is what made our life difficult and hard. God did not design our life to be difficult. When God placed the first man and women in Eden, God gave them everything to make life enjoyable and easy. It was not until they disobeyed that life got hard. God didn't do that, Adam and Eve's disobedience did.

We today can suffer many terrible things, bad health, economic problems, and other things, but if we but God in our life, those things can be dealt with and they are made easier then if we do not have God in our life. This is proof that God designed our life originally to be easy. When we are brought back to perfection, then we will see the wonderful and loving and caring Creator we have. God does not make life hard, humans do, by their disobedience to him and then we and our offspring suffer the consequences of our actions. With all the problems I have each day, My God makes them easier to deal with. I know he loves me and whatever I suffer now, it is just temporary and soon He will rid this earth of all the consequences we suffer due to human disobedience, greed, hatred, and suffering will be a thing of the past. How do I know?

Rev. 21:4, 5: “And He will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.' And the One seated on the throne said: "Look! I am making all things new." Also, he says: "Write, because these words are faithful and true."”

Matt. 9:35: “Jesus set out on a tour of all the cities and villages, teaching ... and preaching the good news of the kingdom and curing every sort of disease and every sort of infirmity.”

2 Cor. 4:13, 16: “We too exercise faith … Therefore we do not give up, but even if the man we are outside [our physical body] is wasting away, certainly the man we are inside is being renewed [or given fresh strength] from day to day.” (We may be wasting away in a physical sense. But spiritually we are being renewed as we continue to feed on God's precious promises.)

“With God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26
