Insight for Today, Psalms 23

In today's world, there're many reasons to shake in your boots, but there's hope--Psalms 23. If you'll listen to the words God speak, the news you're hearing will not blow you down. You'll still be standing in the end. After completing this article on Psalms 23, I believe you'll be inspired to read and memorize these verses. Let's get started.

Psalms 23:1

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. .

Words of Encouragement:

If you're worried about who will take care of you, here is the answer. The Lord will. He will not only take care of your wants, but He'll make sure you don't lack any good thing. Isn't that great?

Psalms 23:2

He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside the still waters.

Words of Encouragement:

The Good Shepherd leads you to green pastures. This shows you where His heart is. I like that. How about you? He wants you to have the best. I'll take that, too. Won't you? Green pastures are a sign of life, abundance, and more than enough to eat. Well that's just awesome!

Psalms 23:3

He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His names' sake.

Words of Encouragement:

Wow! Do you need your heart and mind restored with confidence today? If you do, no one can do it like the Lord can. After listening to so much fear talking, you need to hear faith talking. He'll let you know, I'll lead you in the right paths you'll walk through--for my sakes. God has a reputation to keep; He's the Good Shepherd.

Psalms 23:4

Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Words of Encouragement:

So why are you afraid? There's no need to fear, God is with you. Walk through the valley of the shadow of death with courage. Know for certain that the Lord is right with you. With His rod and staff He's protecting you. Did I tell you enough, that God is with you?

Psalms 23:5

Thou prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; thou anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over.

Words of Encouragement:

What a buffet the Lord prepares! It's not in Heaven either, but right here on planet Earth where you need it. Your enemies will see it, too. The enemy will behold your blessings. The Lord places His anointing on your head for success. To top it off, your cup is overflowing with plenty. That's God. He's more than enough.

Psalms 23:6

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

Words of Encouragement:

You have to know definitely that God is good. Every where you go, goodness is following you. Mercy is right there, too. You might think you don't desire it, but God decided to be with you always, even until the very end. So be determined to dwell, live, and abide with Him for the rest of your life.

Remember, commit a verse to memory today, and you'll be growing stronger in faith. When the barrier of bad news comes to your house, you can boldly, declaring what

Psalms 23 says.

I just published a Psalm 23 interpretation, so yours popped up on "Related Articles." I like the encouragement this gives and your words under each verse. Good article!
