Is This a Cry for Help or What?

Explaining Christianity to atheists.

I came across an interesting article here.

I read this article with an open and inquiring mind. See I am a Christian who has had a rather tough time building my relationship with the Lord. I refer to God who is the Father of Jesus Christ. In other words I am a born again Christian. My calling I believe is to help back-slidden Christians, atheists and agnostics to come to Jesus. I do not believe I am better than anyone, nor do I revel at the whole hell and damnation deal. I believe in it, but do not preach it. I come from a back ground of hating God and blaming Him for all the woes in my life. I hated God with a passion. My parents and my wife used to shudder at the things I have said to God.

A few years ago a computer technician asked me if I knew Jesus, wrong thing to say! I gave him my 2c worth. Long story short the seed was planted. I started going to Church and there was no instant miracles. Life in fact got tougher for me. Through all this though God has never forsaken me, he has kept my family and I fed., clothed and housed. Often on less than $2 per day, this according to the World Bank is the figure for the world poverty line.

We have had numerous miracles happen in our lives that defy logic or science. We cannot explain to you how when we were a week from being kicked out of our home due to being three months behind on our rent. That happened so that I could learn how to really pray to God for a miracle. We can't explain how we got married just 10 days after praying to God for us to get married, nor can we explain how things immediately improved after we got married. We cannot explain it in terms of logic and science; we can however tell you that God almighty answered our prayers.

In my opinion the writer of the above article is crying out to be saved. We do not go to heaven because we are nice people; we go to heaven because we fall under the grace of Christ at the crucifixion. Grace means unmerited favour. I am blessed to say that I have experienced that unmerited favour from God and I can only recommend that everyone seek Christ and prove me wrong. What have you got to lose by believing in Jesus Christ? Nothing! However there is much to lose by not believing in Him.
