There is only Love in Christ
A well know Andre Couch song entitled “Love medley”, the song opens with these words:
“Don't let hatred be among you, hatred always will divide you, there's no hatred in Christ Don't let jealously be among you, jealously always will divide you, there's no hatred in Christ.”
These are powerful words written by one of the many icons of Gospel music who understood the word of God clearly. We must have the love of Christ among us. It is the only way others will see the love of Christ.
The body of Christ is lacking this love, and the sad thing is that we justify it so easily that God will understand, because I am not to get along with everyone, even if it is not possible, yes that is true, but you are still commanded to pray for your enemies, and those that even love you. The plain commandment is simple, and we have complicated it with our own selfish gain and reasons not to love the body of Christ.
God is coming for one bride. He is not coming for several brides from several denominations. He is coming for His bride, whether we are ready or not. He is coming for a spotless church, and that is not going to be too hard for him because he will see those who are really ready and serving him according to his will while others casually live less than God requires.
When will we understand the importance of having God's love in our hearts and our daily walk with the Lord, allowing him to show us the error of our ways. What is so hard repenting to the one that you are to love the most, your brethren? Show love to them first, and continue no matter what they do to you.
I pray that the Body of Christ comes to understand the importance of God's love and how it is been drained from the church and replaced with convenient love and sometime love based on how we feel. We need to get back to loving those who do not understand God the way they need to know, we need to love them with the word, pray for them continually and most of all love them.
We must step back and know that God needs to see love amongst us, once we realize that denominations, organizations should no longer divide us, but unite us as one in the Body of Christ, the Bride of Christ. What a privilege to be counted as a bride to the most Holy One, it is sad that we just can not get it right down here, and I pray we do before our Lord and Saviour returns for us.
Love thy neighbour as thyself, This the greatest commandment.
