The churches of today are not living by the Bible.
I have for a long time been noticing a problem with todays churches and that problem is they don't reach out to people in need like they used to. Here is my evidence behind this. My mom lives in Harlan KY and she broke her leg while working at the Harlan Baptist church. She was taking a shopping cart full of song books to her house for someone to pick up and as she was coming off the side walk the cart tipped over and landed on her left leg. Her leg broke in nine pieces and she had no way of paying her bills at all. First you should know that she called Cornerstone several times but they would never come and get them. In case you don't know Cornerstone ia another church up here in Harlan. So she decided to take the books to her house and get my aunt to come pick them up seeing as how she goes to church at cornerstone. This is where the wrong comes into play. Now that she has healed pretty well Harlan baptist church will not give her, her job back. Harlan baptist church didn't take an offering up or help her in any way, Cornerstone helped her one time with an offering but that is it, and The church that continually helped her was Cawood Church of God and they have been so good to her.
All the people we have asked has said that cornerstone and Harlan baptist church should have helped her several times. So chyme in and give me you opinion just from what you know. I think that some churches have their beliefs about God all jumbled up and it is because of the people who get into high positions in churches don't go totally by the book. It is sad that when you call a preacher for work he says I don't help people but I thought the Bible said to help thy neighbor or something to that effect. I mean isn't God about love and helping one another???? What happened to love thy meighbor and treat others the way you want to be treated??? Honestly most of the churches of today are falling right into the palm of worldly things. They are sitting right at Jezabelles table instead of sitting at the table of the Lord and that is a shame to me. Who is truly at fault?? Well consider the following:
The books were not picked up like they were supposed to
No one offered her help getting the books home
The ramp going off the side walk is lopsided and very narrow
So I will leave that decision to you but know one thing todays churches are going to the dogs. Now you can believe that!
