There is a Heaven and there is a Hell. Heaven is a place of Glory and Magnificence where one can live for all eternity in God's presence. There is no dying. There is no death. There is no sadness. Only the Glory of God shines about forever and ever.
Hell is a place of sorrow and pain completely devoid of God. There is suffering and there is death. The sorrow continues for all eternity, forever and ever. The pain is never ending. The torture is forever. There is no end.
We are all sinners. God created each and every one of us and we turned are backs on him. As a parent disciplines a child, we should be disciplined for turning our backs on God and the things we have done against him. That is called sin. “For all have sinned, and come short of the Glory of God;” Romans 3:23. We all deserve to be cast into the fires of hell for all eternity. We all deserve to be punished for what we have done against God.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16. God loved each and every one of us so much that he sent his very own Son to come to this Earth, walk among us, live as a man, and die for OUR sins. Jesus took on the punishment that we deserve for the sins that we have committed. He suffered and died a very brutal death. A death that we should have suffered for sinning against God.
Three days later, Jesus conquered that death. He arose from the dead and walked among us once more. We too can conquer that death. We too can escape the pain and torture that is set before us for all eternity.
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead thou shalt be saved.” Romans 10:9
Do you confess that you are a sinner and that the Lord Jesus died for your sins? Do you believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead? If you do then you shall be saved.
Are you willing to dedicate your entire life to Jesus Christ? Are willing to give everything to him? Mathew chapter 7 and chapter 25 state it very clearly. Those who have known him will stand before God and All of His Majesty one day and hear, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant.” Those who do not know Him or have only pretended to know Him will stand before God and All of his Majesty one day and hear, “Depart from me, I never knew you.”
STOP! Analyze your life. How will your life end? Will you stand before God someday and hear, “Well done thou good and faithful servant.” And live with Christ for all eternity?
OR will you stand before God someday and all of his Majesty and hear, “Depart from me, I never knew you.” And spend all eternity living in pain, suffering, and torment completely devoid of God's grace, love and mercy.
