Two Powerful Elements That Produce Spiritual Growth

Saturating ones life with the Word of God

I believe God's Word equips us with, wisdom, boldness, strength, knowledge, power, courage and the ability to press forward through times of difficulty. The bible says in Romans the 8th Chapter that the Holy Spirit helps us to pray. I believe that the Holy Spirit also helps us in our times of studying God's Word. Sometimes we get off track with reading or studying God's word, because we don't always feel the power or see lighting flashing during our time of study. Sometimes it seems as if we are just reading words on a page and we feel our time of study was ineffective. Let me encourage you most of the time our reading and studying is a silent power. What I mean by this is when a war ship is loading its weapons there's no bangs or booms it's silent, but when it releases its missiles and firing its big gun everyone around sees and feel the power. Sometimes our study is to get the word in us and the bible says the Holy Spirit will bring these things to our remembrance. It's good to have memory verses and just practicing the word, that might not sound spiritual but, you will see the difference.

Isaiah 55:10-11

"For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth sprouts and fruits, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.” The purpose of rain and snow is to water the earth, that plants in the earth will bring forth fruits and seeds so man can live. It's the same with God's Word it will water our hearts so we can bring forth fruits, seeds and live. A plant that grows fruit takes the water from the soil through its roots into the fruit, and if it's a good fruit as soon as you squeeze it juice will flow everywhere.

If we're full of the word as soon as life's pressures squeezes us, out should come Gods word God. The Word should make a full circle in our lives. He sends it to us and we send it back to Him, through our prayer life…Lord your word says in Nahum 1 and 7, “The LORD is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in Him, Thank you Lord for caring for me.” This is why I feel there is nothing wrong with searching for scriptures that fits our circumstance and quoting and meditating on those scriptures. The Word in our heart coming out of our month is damaging to the devil, he will try and take the word from you. Mark 4: 14-15 says that the farmer plants seed by taking God's word to others. The seed that fell on the wayside represents those who hear the message, only to have Satan come at once and take it away. How does he take the word? The same way he took it from Adam and Eve; he asked Eve, “Did God really say you must not eat the fruit from any of the trees in the garden?” The purpose was to plant doubt next to the Word, which if you let it remain will grow like weed eventually choking out the Word.

Seeking God

I believe God take great pleasure in those who seek Him, throughout the bible He encourage men to seek him.

Psalm 14:2 says “The LORD looks down from heaven on the sons of men to see if there is any who understand, any who seek God.”

Hebrews 11:6 says “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.”

Acts 17:24-27 says “The God who made the world and everything in it, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in temples made by man, nor is he served by human hands, as though he needed anything, since he himself gives to all mankind life and breath and everything. He made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place that they should seek God, in the hope that they might feel their way toward him and find him. Yet he is actually not far from each one of us.”

At the same time God is seeking us, John 4:23 says, “Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.

Luke 18:7-8

“And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?"

If we are seeking God and He's seeking us that's like two trains on the same track heading toward each other at a great deal of speed. When they meet or collide they will intermingle to the point you will not know where one began and the other ends. This is the same with God when we meet or collide with Him we will intermingle...hallelujah!!! You will not know where I began and God ends. His desire will become my desires His interests will become my interest.

So I encourage you to get in God's Word like never before and seek Him with all your heart. May God's blessing flow in your life like a runaway river overflowing into your situation.
