My studies of the book of Genesis has arrived at verse 4.
And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness. God saw the light !!! Imagine a world of water much like Juppiter is a world of gas, filled with light that shatters the darkness And God saw. God saw the light? God said/Let there be light/ and there was light/ can we doubt that He saw? How did He see? Did He see the light with His eyes? Has God told us anything of His own traits? No. At this point in Genesis all we know is that God is shaping the Universe and, at verse 4 is judging the light that He created. How did He create the light.
Was there a warehouse of products to arrange and to pound together? God said and the light became manifest to God. We don't know where God's products are. They are His and He doesn't have to tell us. He created light and He judged that it was good. And good for what? God had the condition of good as His being. And, it went without saying, that He hadn't destroyed the darkness. God divided the light fom the darkness. God saw that light was good and different from the dark.
As a Greek Orthodox raised American living in a melting pot of religions, The United States of America , all I am permitted and through indoctrination by living and practicing the Holy Faith of Saint Paul of Tarsus, all my mind lets me know at this point in my reading of Genesis is that God made His first judgement in verse 4. If you are following my readings leave me a message.
