Cakes and Ale in Wicca

The cakes and ale ceremony is a ritual that was practiced by the early pagans many thousands of years ago.

You are already probably familiar with the holy communion service that is practiced by the early Christians if you were raised as a christian which symbolizes the body and blood of Jesus Christ.

The Communion service or in other words the whole idea of eating and drinking the body and blood of a divine man god dates back to the ancient prehistoric times, even back to the times of the caveman. Even the ancient Neanderthals used to do it back in the ice age.

Cakes and ale is used in the communion service in the Wicca faith, milk is used for the communion service in Hinduism simply because cows are sacred animals in Hinduism. Wine and bread is used in Christianity. I would have to admit there are a lot of different similarities between all these different faiths throughout the world. There are even a lot of similarities between Christianity and paganism. Even in all the cultures throughout the world there is a story of a flood just like in the Bible.

Deleting all of the adverse comments won't help you, you know. We will just come back and comment again.

Now, as I said before, people like you are the reason why academics think "pagan scholarship" is the same as "bad scholarship." As near as I can tell, every sentence in the above bit of drivel is wrong in some important respect.

In the future, please stick to simple declarative sentences, on the order of "I see the cow." I suspect that we will all be made happier thereby.

You sir, are an idiot. Hindus do not eat beef AT ALL and there were no such thing as Wiccan cavemen.

Get your facts straight you incredible imbicile.

Oh, and delete these comments all you want. We'll all be back to continue to let the world know of your incredible FAIL.

Stupid.

I got you bookmarked babe. I'll continue to repost if you continue to delete.

It would be best if you considered RESEARCHING before you post your drivel.

To those who might consider this crap scholarly, don't.

Wicca and Paganism is not a "caveman" religion nor do they "eat the body and the blood" in ANY ritual.

I weep for the future of Wiccan and Paganism if you are the people newbies look to for information.

Sir or Madam,

As a citizen of planet Earth, I must insist you cease and desist from providing this sort of meaningless and incorrect drivel. You clearly know nothing about any religion at all and reside within your own fantasy world. Stop pretending you know things.

Sincerely,
Concerned Citizen

P.S. If you delete this I'll repost it and I'm stubborner than you are.
P.P.S. EPIC FAIL

Oh, dear. It would appear that my comment disappeared. You should really do more research before you put something like this on the net. While I am pleased to see that you removed the ignorant statement of Hindus eating beef, you're still wrong.

The Neanderthals, as much as can be discovered about their religious beliefs, were animists. There was no divine man god. They may have sacrficed to their divine, but they did not have communion with them.

For that matter, communion does not date as far back as prehistoric. Maybe as far back as Zoroaster, but no farther. You could make an argument for the cult of Mithras even.

By the way, which ice age are you referring to? There have been several. You should probably think about commas too, since without them, some of your statements are downright hilarious. Again, I'd ask you to state your sources, but it's obvious that you have none.
