Invoking the Crone

A Pagan invocation for attuning to the dark energy of the Ancient Mother. Blessed Be.

O! Cerridwen, Hecate, Hag’alal!!!
Birther of Wisdom,
Breaker of bones,
Darkness invades me
When I approach your throne.

Knower of No-Thing,
Guardian of Home,
I wish to fulfill you -
Old, Ancient Crone.

I am Your Body.
I am Your Blood.
We are the Breath of the Dragon
Together, Alone.

Rider of dark matter,
Your Hair undone reflects
The light of the unborn Sun.
The pusher, the puller,
All is One.

Make me your Daughter, Mother
For I have none.
I honor your wishes, Mother
And now the time has come.

I must leave this Earthly life
And ride with you into the Sun --
Your Cauldron. Bubbles, steams, and churns –
Who knows? This could be fun!

Mysteries and secrets,
Horrors, blood, and screams.
These You harvest for Your Own
So that You remain Unseen;

And those You choose to
Walk Your Path
Are braver than they seem.
