Does God Have to be Tangible?

This article begs the question of God's existence without being tangible.

Why can't heaven be heaven? Does it have to have streets paved with gold? How come the only things we imagine must have a tangible attachment? We don't believe there is a God unless there is a tangible individual or object to associate with an entity. Why can't God just be non gendered? If you just believe in god then you must be crazy. No one in their right mind worships something they can't see or touch. But, if a bush burns and talks then we believe it is god. The Son of Sam said a dog told him to kill people. We labeled him as crazy. Jim Jones persuaded people to follow him because God told him to lead them. He isolated his followers and poisoned them, while committing suicide himself. We believe. Noah built an Ark-supposedly- because God said the earth would be covered with water. His friends and neighbors laughed at him because they felt no rain- drops. At least Moses came back down the mountain with two stone tablets. He even made copies just in case he broke the first two-read the story- no Kinko's.

Hey, what I am trying to say is why can't we just believe in God? Isn't hearing a bird sing or feeling the breeze on our skin enough of a sign from God? Why can't we be the miracles that make God truly exist? Does the Red Sea really have to part just to know God is real? My mother died and God said absolutely nothing to me. God never warned me nor apologized. Life just moved on like nothing ever happened. Job said that life and days are but a breath. When I walk into a room I want people to know that God exists. There will not be any gifts, rules, or revelations. Neither will yelling god during intercourse prove an existence. I believe in a God without any tangible evidence other than myself. God touches me. I don't have to touch God.
