Hinduism and Buddhism

Two major religions practiced in the Ancient Indus Valley are Hinduism and Buddhism. They are still practiced there today. These two religions are alike in many ways, yet have many differences.

Hinduism and Buddhism are similar in many ways. Here are just a few of there many similarities. Both Hinduism and Buddhism have religious beliefs for each of there unique cultures and their unique religion. Both Hindu's and Buddhist people thought that you had to reach peace by ending suffering.(without wanting) They also believed in a type of heaven or afterlife. Both Hinduism and Buddhism use a caste system. The caste system is a way of grouping you by what job you have.

Example:

Buddha was the founder of Buddhism. The founder of Hinduism was Siddhartha Guatama. The people of Hinduism searched for a place that connected to all life. Buddhism people believed that you had to reach peace by ending suffering. Those were just a few of the many differences of Buddhism religion and Hinduism religion.

These two major religions are definitely alike and different. Those are just a few of their many similarities and differences. That is why so many people still cherish these unique religions.
