The Caterpillar Sutra 3

Still attempting to distill reality to its essence.

Late in the night, knowing there were many who had not fallen asleep, the caterpillar asked the butterfly to quietly go around and bring those still awake to him. Once they were all gathered and ready, he spoke to them thus:"Listen and I will tell you again what has been revealed in every age. It is God's Will that you be happy. It is God's Will that you know perfect peace. It is the Will of the Most Glorious Creator that all beings exist in eternal awareness of His Presence."It has been asked time and again then why He would allow such suffering. And I tell you again that He does not. You allow it. Every time you do that which is harmful, every time you heed passion's call, every time you declare something as yours, you are convincing yourself that you are not worthy to accept what He offers. Every time you think or do something that is contrary to your Self, whether you realize it or not, you are adding more and more to the ideal that you are not good enough to dwell in His Presence. But do you not see, it is not a question of being good enough, the Unconditional Love of God just wants you to be aware of Him. Stop suffering useless beliefs.

Start accepting the Kingdom of Grace that is your birthright."There is a great riddle that has been passed down for many generations now. "How is it, that one might turn lead into gold?" To one Awakened in God, this is no riddle at all. There is only gold. All impurities, all that is base, exist only in the mind. Impurity is not of the Spirit. Baseness is not of the Spirit. Meditate then, on the purity of the Self, and the mind will be cleared of illusion. You are pure in the eyes of God; you are Love in the eyes of Love. Realize it; realize anything that negates this is a lie. Then even you will live to see the end of suffering."You are a Child of God. Nothing more, nothing less. Children of God are Sacred Love. Nothing more, nothing less. All is God's, and God gives all that He is to you. Concentrate on your mortality, and you will be blind to His Eternity. This life, this time, is fleeting. Surrender it then now, by your own free will, and you will be given what is offered by the Will of God. This world, all these things, they will soon be gone, and will be no more. Why hold on to them then, when in your Father's hand there is something that lasts forever. You. What reason is there, not to accept this?

"Listen, and I will tell you out loud what that still silent voice in your heart is singing: "Lie to me, I will forgive you. Ignore me, I will forgive you. Spit on me, you are still my child. Break your oath to me; I will still be true to you. Beat me; still I will heal your every wound. Forsake me, and I will continue to hold you dear in my heart. Murder me, and I will forgive you, still I will pour myself out for you. There is not one condition I place before my love for you. But, I shall not force you to accept me. And never will I force you to forgive yourself, though great is my desire that you forgive yourself. Your heart, I see, is wounded. Poisoned and broken. Give it unto me, and in return, I shall give you mine. With hold them from me, and still, here, here is my heart, do with it as you will.""Father and Child are Eternally One. Our sorrow is truly his sorrow, for He forsakes not the least part of us. I tell you, do as He does, and soon you will realize that His Bliss is your Bliss. Perfect your heart by the Light of the Spirit. Mind and body will soon follow. No lust will guide your thoughts, no greed shall drive your actions, and no impurity will rest upon you, for yours is the Light that dispels all illusion."
