The Rible

The Bible as according to Riley. Brief yet very effective.

  • This book is based on fictional accounts of my view on the world
  • There was a God (not a he, or she, but an “it”) it was nor born nor created, it was just there, and when humankind was created, it went into “eternal slumber”
  • Eternal Slumber - Before you are born, you are emptiness. When you die, you are returned to the eternal darkness. The sleep that is nor pleasant, nor horrible, it is peaceful. The grandeur cloud of serenity that holds its place in time. Never to be awakened.
  • There is no heaven and there is no hell. Only sleep and emptiness.
  • No spirits or souls
  • Your “will” is not because of your spirits; it is how you were raised. Everything you do is because of routes you took while growing as a child.
  • If you fuck up in something, or you do something wrong, (such as developing stealing tendencies or bad habits) they are either genetic, or your situations put the desires in your mind. It is not because you are “evil”, or the devil is in you, it is out of your growth.
  • People need to express themselves honestly, without regard for the image it gives them. A true painter will paint because it is his true desire; he has grown to become a painter. A serial killer is not “insane” just because he killed someone; he is expressing himself in his own artistic form.
  • There is no destiny or set path! Your life is a free directional being.
  • Because death will reward you with the same eternal sleep anyway you die, it is extremely important that you do not waste your life doing things to avoid “sinning”. A sin is completely in the eyes people individually, and things affect different people in different ways. Thus more of a reason not to spend your time worrying about the image you will portray to others.
    • A “sing” will not affect your death in any way! Live how you want to! Expression is human nature, and to be truly happy is to express yourself
  • There is no vast heaven with golden arches. What better way to get billions of followers than to promise them everything that is good? Telling your children if they fuck up or if they are bad they will go to hell is a sham. Instead of parenting their children with punishments and rewards, religious vultures sit back and watch their “perfect weapon” of Christianity direct their life. Yes, your children should be encouraged to grow in the direction of their natural tendencies. In doing so, those natural tendencies will be stronger. But also, as a parent, letting your child run wild and grow completely on its own is ignorant in itself. Be a guide for your child, but not a master with a fiery leash.
  • Prayer - Praying is completely irrelevant to living a “happier” life. If you feel like you are in trouble and you need a “god” to pray to, it is because you are alone, and need someone to talk to. Asking a being of imagination for something and expecting return is foolish. Don't waste your time. If you need the company, find it. (Whether it is a pet or a person)
  • Suicide - You did not ask to come into this world, you should not have to ask to leave it. Whether it is “selfish” or not, you will die eventually, and it is your choice whether you want to or not. Also, when people die, they are looked up to much more than while they're alive, almost like the things they did wrong never existed. Nothing wrong with killing yourself.
  • Anonymity - Prove yourself to be anonymous. (Whether it is posting a fingerprint-less letter on the city hall door, or doing something that you are unable to be caught. Don't use vandalism or destructive, or even threatening.)

Chapters:

  1. Creation - God died when man was created.
  2. Escalation - Human growth = stupid humans.
