This describes why I'm atheist and why I think there are so many religions.
It seems like there are a lot of religions. Most of these are just the same religion just with a slight difference in belief. But the question remains why are there so many? You'd think by now that science would have proved a religion right, but why haven't they? I say it's because there may not be some grand purpose to life, or some creator other than our parents. Science has proven almost all religion wrong, Yet people still believe in them why? My answer is that being humans we have a need to have an answer to every single question, when we don't know an answer we simply say a deity did it with all of there wisdom. All major religions were created or founded thousands of years ago, when people weren't too bright and they had barely any answers to what is common knowledge today. Now we have answers, supported by facts and many people say that there fiction and that the answer to the question actually happened in the way that there religion say. How about I give you reasons as to why I'm atheist.
A majority of religions claim that there believers are superior to others
Most major religions claim that the world was made in some weirdo crazy way
Most major religions were made in the “Stupid Ages” as I call them, when people were uneducated and believed everything.
Most things that occur within the religion don't make any sense (such as the bible)
Those are all the reason's I will list before I further insult people. I'm atheist and I have good reason to be. I'm not very good at making lists. I do not think that religion is all bad, it does have some benefits such as the one's I'll list below.
Meet new people
Educates moral's
Helps keep some people in line
Gives an answer to questions we still don't know.
That's all I can think of at any rate. I'm a horrible list maker and I usually write poetry which is why you may not find this piece of work very interesting, I apologize, I'm a poet. Hope you've enjoyed reading this, and remember, always be open minded.
